Here is a collection of trip reports I’ve written over the years.  I hope they will prove a helpful resource to anyone trying to get their family outdoors.  We’ve done a lot of car camping, and we’re slowly making a transition to backpacking. I’ve found that as long as the kids are safe, it doesn’t matter what kind of gear you have–kids are tough and can handle a lot. So don’t let that stop you from getting out there. We’re acquiring the light-weight nice gear that will make everything a little easier, but in the end, the kids won’t remember the gear; they’ll remember the great times you had together.

I encourage thoughtful and respectful discussions about anything I write.
